Summertime is here and it is the perfect time to try new foods! If you find the opportunity, take advantage of it. Here are some great ways for you and your family to experiment and experience new foods:
1. Do you have extra time at home with the kids this summer? Open up a cookbook and make something together that you have never made before. This is not only a great family activity; it is also a great way to get picky kids to try new things. Children are much more likely to try a new food if they helped grow or prepare it. 2. Heading to the local farmer’s market? Buy a new fruit or vegetable, or a new variety of one of your favorites that you have never tried before.
3. Heading out of town? Fined a local eatery and order something you can’t get back at home. Be adventurous! Or find local produce that is specific to that region and experience new flavors.
4. Make a chopped competition for yourself! Buy something in the grocery store that you have never bought before and cook it!
