I don't just cook because I have to feed my family. I cook because I enjoy it. It is so fun to experiment with new foods and new techniques, and when those experiments are successful, it really puts a smile on my face.

Homeschooling
I never anticipated that I would end up homeschooling my children, or that I would become such a fan. Homeschooling 5 children, with such a wide span of ages, has been quite the educational experience.
House and Kitchen Design
While this wasn't a career I trained for, it was definitely in my blood. I love making kithcens more functional and taking run-down houses and making them beautiful and livable again.
Holidays and House Guests
For over 20 years, I have prepared for, hosted and recovered from major holidays, intense life events and house guests. Those experiences have taught me a lot.
